In payment of our debt of gratitude to Christian Science, I offer this testimony, hoping it may help others as I have been helped through the testimonies in our periodicals.
Shortly after we took up the study of this Science our little son seemed to be suffering from earache. We worked all night, but in the morning the erroneous condition still persisted. When the time came for him to go to kindergarten there was no hesitancy on his part, and he started to school, which was several long blocks away.
On page 64 of "Unity of Good" Mrs. Eddy gives us this statement of Truth: "To build the individual spiritual sense, conscious of only health, holiness, and heaven, on the foundations of an eternal Mind which is conscious of sickness, sin, and death, is a moral impossibility; for 'other foundation can no man lay than that is laid.' (I Corinthians iii.ll.)" With an earnest, sincere prayer to God for the protection, guidance, and healing of the little lad, I left him in the hands of God and proceeded to clear my own consciousness of fear, and to build safely on a firm foundation of Life, Truth, and Love.
