The Bible emphatically affirms that God is good and omnipotent. It also reveals that He is Mind. Consequently, God is omnipotent Mind, perfect and eternal.
The Scriptures further set forth that man is the image and likeness of God. Therefore, man is the expression, the manifestation, of divine Mind. In other words, he is the direct reflection of omnipotence, of allpowerful and harmonious Deity. Thus it follows that man is sustained and preserved by God, and by Him alone. And what is true of man is also true of the entire creation, for God has made all things like Himself —flawless, spiritual, and infinite.
That which seems to human sense to be unlike and antagonistic to God and His spiritual perfection—that which is called mortal and material, with its alleged laws and conditions— is necessarily untrue, unreal, because it has no part in omnipotence or the supreme intelligence of Mind. It is naught but error, evil, a supposititious counterfeit of the divine; or, as Christ Jesus said of the devil, it "is a liar, and the father of it."
