With very deep gratitude I express my appreciation of the message of Christian Science. On page 494 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, we are told that "divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need." During the past forty-two years I have had the blessed privilege of proving the truth of this statement. When things looked darkest to me and I had not improved under the best medical methods, someone advised me to try Christian Science. Upon studying Science and Health earnestly and prayerfully, I realized that such healing and freedom as I experienced could come only through God. I feel it my privilege to mention the outstanding healings in my experience.
A few years ago I was knocked down by an automobile. Cuts and bruises seemed very real to me until the healing power of Truth and Love was proved through Christian Science; and when this power had overcome smallpox and pneumonia in the last stages, I was joyously satisfied. With our Leader's loving thought in mind, I too would ask (ibid., p. 135), "What cannot God do?"
I am grateful for the spiritual uplifting I have gained through the study of the Bible, the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly, and Science and Health. I shall be forever in debt to our beloved Leader for her untiring research and patience in bringing freedom to the sons of men, revealing to them "the glorious liberty of the children of God."— Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
