I am very grateful for Christian Science, and for all the loving help which I have received through its teachings. When it was first presented to me, my need was very great.
My youngest son, a boy of nine years of age, was in hospital, suffering from what the doctors pronounced osteomyelitis. He had had several operations on his leg; in fact, amputation had been suggested by the surgeon. But to this I felt I could not consent. I am grateful for the care and attention given my son by the nurses and the doctors during the twelve months that he was in bed, and also during the twelve months when he was an outdoor patient.
At this time I proved the. truth of our Leader's words in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 494), "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need," for I heard of Christian Science. I consulted a practitioner and asked for treatment for my son. My request was lovingly complied with. The child was healed in one week, and there has been no return of the condition. This occurred over eighteen years ago.
