I am very grateful for Christian Science. I shall never forget the love and spiritual uplifting I felt when I first began the study of the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I felt as if I were living in a new world. Indeed, it seems a new world to me, for I have had many healings, both mental and physical.
I had been a complete nervous wreck. The first doctor I called on said he could do nothing for me and that I should see a specialist. I called on a chiropractor also, who said that mine was a case for a specialist. Then I sent for a Christian Science practitioner and started attending the services of the Christian Science Society in our city. Improvement came at once, and all my friends remarked about the great change in my condition. I was healed.
On two occasions I fell downstairs and was very badly hurt both times. The effects of the first fall were overcome through the work of a practitioner. At the time of the second fall, I was so badly hurt that I was unable to call a practitioner. All I could think of was "the scientific statement of being," found on page 468 of our textbook. I got up the following morning, did my regular work, attended church services, and took a long trip in the afternoon. The people with whom I lived, who were not Scientists, were very much surprised that I could walk. I am very grateful for Christian Science and that the understanding of it is available at all times.
