I became a student of Christian Science nineteen years ago, when I was sick, both physically and mentally. As a child I had been very delicate, and as I grew older I became no better. There was scarcely a day when I was not suffering from some complaint. I had a very weak stomach and could not eat certain foods. This condition was healed while I was visiting some friends who had the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I picked up the book and began to read the chapter on Science, Theology, Medicine. On page 142 Mrs. Eddy writes, "Which was first, Mind or medicine?" I pondered that question, and read for some time; and when dinner was served, I ate everything without any fear. I was healed, and that healing has meant much to me, for it has been permanent.
Since then I have been healed of constipation, headaches, nervous prostration, and faults of disposition.
Our two younger children, who are now fifteen and thirteen years old, have never tasted medicine, even though they have seemed to have the ills common among children. Earache and croup were healed instantaneously through the help of a practitioner.
