It is with a sense of deep gratitude for the many blessings that have come to me through Christian Science, that I write this testimony.
I was reared in a Christian home, and my mother taught me to pray, but until I took up the study of Christian Science I did not know that prayer is answered. A friend from Denmark told me that this Science was healing people just as in Jesus' time. I thought it sounded very beautiful, but I did not understand it. Nevertheless, the seed was sown, and about a year later, when I had made a great mistake and seemed down and out mentally, it came to me to look into Christian Science. I got a copy of Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy and began to read. My knowledge of the English language was very limited at that time, but I kept right on and soon grasped a little of the truth here and there, with the result that I was uplifted and healed.
Shortly afterwards I had the greatest battle of my life in overcoming an erroneous sense of personality. It took me several years, but that also was finally healed.
