Christian Science has met my every need during the last nine years, and I wish to express my gratitude for the spiritual growth which has been experienced whenever this system of metaphysics has been faithfully applied.
In April of 1936 I found myself without remunerative employment, and with seemingly no supply whatever. For some months I had not been steadily employed, but during this time I had' been learning that man's employment is in expressing his Maker, God, and that God always has need of His expression, man.
On page 97 of our textbook, Science and Health, Mrs. Eddy writes, "The nearer a false belief approaches truth without passing the boundary where, having been destroyed by divine Love, it ceases to be even an illusion, the riper it becomes for destruction." The false belief of lack of right employment became so real in my thinking that I walked one day into a practitioner's office and stated that I could no longer carry on—that I was through. I was lovingly reminded that I had been faithful in my study of Christian Science and that this study must prove fruitful in this very experience. I was asked to go home and spend the evening reading our Leader's works. I later obediently looked up, with the help of the Concordances, all she has to say on infinite resources, and went to bed at peace, knowing that our Father-Mother God always has cared and always will care for His child.
