"NO EBB AND FLOW"

From the September 1938 issue of The Christian Science Journal

In her poem, "Come Thou," Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, has written (Poems, p. 36):

" 'The seasons come and go:
Love, like the sea,
Rolls on with thee,—
But knows no ebb and flow.' "

How good it is, in these days of seeming fluctuations of all kinds, constantly to remind ourselves that "Love . . . knows no ebb and flow"! The perfect constancy of divine Love is the eternal fact, and is our refuge from every storm of adversity.
