ANNOUNCEMENT

From the December 1939 issue of The Christian Science Journal

[As published in the Christian Science Sentinel, October 21, 1939]

Ralph B. Scholfield, C. S. B., of London, England, who was re-elected to The Christian Science Board of Lectureship on September 13, has been actively engaged in the public practice of Christian Science and in various positions in the movement since 1919. He was born in England and received his early education at Eton College, later taking a course in military training in contemplation of an army career. His family had for years been earnest students of Christian Science, and while at school he was healed through Christian Science of a severe illness, which led to his further investigation and study of this religion. After finishing his education, he went into business with the insurance firm, Lloyd's of London.

Mr. Scholfield served his country as Captain during the World War in a British Infantry Regiment in Belgium and France. Since 1919 he has devoted his entire time to Christian Science work.
