Twenty-three years ago I was healed of chronic constipation and headaches through the reading of the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. Previous to the evening when I took the textbook and read continuously for about eight hours, I had thought it unwise to miss a day without taking drugs. Now my general health is good, and I no longer take medicine of any sort, but rely entirely on Christian Science to keep me well. All desire for tea and coffee left me many years ago. Lost articles have been restored through my realizing that God knows all.
For the understanding that God is ever present and His help and guidance ever available, I am deeply grateful; also for freedom from worry and a false sense of responsibility through knowing that God alone is responsible for the health, happiness, supply, and well-being of His ideas. I am thankful for the kindly and effective help of practitioners in time of need. It is helpful and encouraging to know that each declaration of Truth made, has the power of God behind it, sustaining, upholding, and establishing it. I am also grateful for the church services, literature, and especially for the Reading Rooms, where I profitably spend much of my spare time. Membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church is a privilege greatly appreciated.— San Mateo,California.
