THE RESTING PLACE

From the April 1939 issue of The Christian Science Journal

O BLESSED place, where I may go apart
And rest awhile within a peace divine,
Unloose the heavy chain about my heart
And drink anew of Love's inspiring wine—
The consciousness, where from God's table spread
The bread of Life my hungering thought doth fill;
Whence I, Love's unction poured upon my head,
Fare forth refreshed to do His holy will!
