I gratefully testify to the healing power of Christian Science. In the words of the Psalmist, "O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise."
For more than nineteen years this Science has met my every need. My first healing was of constipation, self-pity, and nervous irritation, and came through my reading Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, lent to me by a neighbor. I at once purchased a copy of Science and Health and a Christian Science Quarterly and began studying the Lesson-Sermon daily, and great was the change which began to take place in my thinking. Hope, joy, and courage appeared where fear, doubt, and discouragement had been.
About this time there was an epidemic, and I contracted influenza. A Christian Science lecture was being given that night, and I made an effort to go. I was instantaneously healed during the lecture, and walked home free. Many healings have come in the years which have followed my acceptance of Truth, including those of colds, headaches, carbuncles, rheumatism, neuralgia, neuritis, and sprained ankles; also lost articles have been recovered. When resentment, rebellion, anger, impatience, intolerance, and self-justification were cast out of my thoughts, a serious case of ptomaine poisoning and cancer were healed; and one leg, which was discolored, painful, and enlarged, so that I could not walk, was restored to its normal condition. I have also had healings of grief when dear ones have passed on, and have experienced protection many times when driving. The fear of lack and belief of limitation have been destroyed.
