Testimonies of Healing

It is a great pleasure to tell of the saving power of Christian Science.

While cycling, I fell and broke my kneecap. In a moment a doctor arrived, but I told him that I would rely on Christian Science. The next day, however, I had to go to the hospital, since the healing had not yet taken place and there was nobody in my home who could take care of me. At the hospital a doctor treated and set the leg, and after a time he told me that my knee would remain stiff. Happily I understood that this was not true. I could annul that lie by acknowledging the power of the divine law to heal me. And so it was, although I had to learn anew to walk, cycle, and swim. I knew that in God's kingdom all good is always present, and nothing is lost. Finally I went to the doctor on my bicycle, and he told me the healing was a miracle. So we see that "with God all things are possible." I am very grateful for the healing.

Also, I am grateful for Mary Baker Eddy, who gave to the world this great truth in her book Science and Health, and I should like to give many thanks to all the friends who helped me through this experience, for never before had I met with so much love. During this experience, I constantly had the sense of the Father's coming to meet me, as in the parable of the prodigal son, and I am grateful for the beautiful work of the practitioner who helped me. I am also very grateful for class instruction.— .
