It is with a joyous and a grateful heart that I testify to the healing and regenerating power of Christian Science. Since starting its study, five years ago, I have had much greater happiness, and am steadily realizing that happiness is my birthright and is eternal, there being no limit to God's bountiful blessings to His children. I used to be greatly distressed by the changeableness of things; nothing seemed certain, permanent, or sure. I was afraid to enjoy good things, because it made the parting with them more difficult. Now I am learning, through Christian Science, to translate all these so-called material things back into the realm of Spirit, where good is forever permanent, and safe from disintegration, dissolution, and decay.
With the help of a faithful practitioner I was able to prove, on the occasion of having a tooth extracted, that matter is sensationless. During the morning I was suffering great pain from this tooth, and felt that my intended visit to the dentist was impossible. The practitioner, however, counseled me never to concede points to error, and a few minutes before I left for the appointment the pain suddenly disappeared. My gratitude was great, and I went along to the dentist's rejoicing. He marveled at the request to proceed without an injection or gas, but decided to try it. The tooth came out easily and painlessly, and the bleeding stopped almost as soon as it began.
I have also experienced healings of scalds, colds, cuts, constipation, abnormal periodic conditions, catarrh, smoking, and social drinking. I am becoming more confident of myself, for Love is casting out fear, the lessening of which gives me cause for great gratitude. I have seen conditions improve for my friends and family, thus proving the universality of God's blessings.
