More than thirty-five years ago I drifted toward Christian Science, but I accepted very casually the healings and benefits I received. I was not then willing to give the time and study necessary for progress. Nevertheless I received many healings during those early years.
At one time, when I was seeking enlightenment on Christian Science from a family friend who was a devout student, sore feet were healed overnight. Deafness in the right ear, which had persisted for nearly two years, disappeared one Sunday, after I attended a Christian Science service, during which I had been consciously listening for a healing message; hardened wax removed itself from the ear, leaving it permanently open and clear.
Through the work of a faithful practitioner, lumbago, neuralgia, toothache, and malaria were quickly healed for different members of my family; and the rapid recovery of my son from a fractured skull, the effect of an accident, was commented upon by some of the attendants in the hospital to which he was taken.
