When I first heard of Christian Science, I was on the point of being operated upon for the removal of a growth on the left heel bone. This growth was clearly shown by an X ray. The surgeon even went so far as to say that it was possible the other heel might become similarly affected.
I mentioned my predicament to a business colleague, who is a Christian Scientist; and from the tenor of his remarks I was led to ask him if it was possible for me, an outsider, to obtain the services of a Christian Science practitioner. On being assured that I could, I proceeded to do so, with the result that within three weeks I was relieved of a painful condition which had been troubling me for months.
Recently I was stricken with a heart attack, which confined me to bed, and as my recovery by medical means was very slow, I wrote to the practitioner who had helped me in the former instance, and asked her for help, which was granted. My recovery from then on was rapid.
