Why gather much and fear tomorrow's losses?
Each day the manna falls. There is no lack.
When need is ours, has Love not always given?
Our heavenly Father holdeth nothing back.
And though the loaves and fishes seem unequal
To meet our need, that is a mortal plea;
Break, then, and eat, nor fear a narrow margin
Tomorrow He will give abundantly.
And lest we fear that failure lies before us,
Now let us watch and wait and, trusting, pray;
Nor yet retard His gifts with worldly wisdom.
The plenitude of love is ours alway.
