Many times the desire has come to me to express, through the pages of our periodicals, my gratitude to God for Christian Science.
Christian Science was first presented to me over thirty years ago, when I was physically and mentally in need of help.
I was grateful, at the time, for loving aid given to me by one of our dear workers, but, as in the experience of many others, the pleasures as well as the cares of this world soon came, as tares in the wheat, and choked the good seed sown. However, that seed—the influence for good given so lovingly—was not entirely eradicated. The roots, though undernourished, finally persisted in growing. When I first conscientiously tried to study the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly, there were many suggestions of ways other than the right way. I did not know that through prayer, obedience, consistent and persistent searching for the truth, contained in the Bible and our textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, would God's allness be revealed to me.
