I am grateful for having been...

From the April 1941 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I am grateful for having been healed of a nervous breakdown. This healing was an awakening to the divine facts of being, and occurred about a month after the birth of our second son, when to material sense I was in need of recuperation.

With the loving help of a Christian Science practitioner and nurse, I was able to rise above every fear and erroneous suggestion that tried to present itself.

One day during this trial I felt so badly that I thought I must be passing on. A member of the family read to me the definition of Life from the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy (pp. 468, 469). The fear left immediately. I understood then that God is my Life, and that it is indestructible, because man reflects God, and He is indestructible.
