I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science, which has been my only physician for the past fourteen years. When I have been obedient in applying its teaching, it has never failed to heal. For the regeneration and peace of mind which I have today through its healing effect, I am deeply grateful.
I have seen its healing efficacy in the destroying of so-called contagious diseases in our family of four children; also in the healing of toothache, infected scalps resulting from chigger bites, convulsions, chronic laryngitis of twenty years' standing, and many other discordant conditions, as well as the removal of foreign particles from the eyes and splinters from different parts of the body.
About three years ago a healing occurred in our family which I should like to relate. Our son, who at that time was fourteen years of age, was riding with a man in an old horse-drawn wagon, when a truck struck them, completely demolishing the vehicle, killing the man and horse, and rendering the child unconscious. Some of the people first arriving at the scene of the accident thought it useless to take him to the hospital because there seemed to be no life left in him. Others insisted that he be taken there. Then we were notified by the hospital authorities of his condition, this being our first word of the accident.
