A student of Christian Science once attended the Sunday morning church service while he was laboring under a sense of depression and manifesting the symptoms of a severe physical ailment. When the service began, Hymn No. 160 from the Christian Science Hymnal, the words of which were written by the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy, was announced. The First Reader proceeded to read the hymn; and when he read the third stanza, beginning,
"Aye, darkling sense, arise, go hence!
Our God is good,"
the student realized with joy that the "darkling sense," which had seemed to hang over him like a cloud had actually gone, and with it all symptoms of physical malady. A complete healing had taken place.
