How deeply prized by the Christian Scientist are the sacred experiences which mark and impel his progress heavenward! For demonstration is the inevitable reward and consistent proof of spiritual understanding, obedience, and perception of the real.
It is the self-evident victories over disease, sorrow, and sin which most often impress the sincere inquirer, and rouse the interest of those who appear indifferent to Truth. Intuitive wisdom, intelligent zeal, and reflected love are the influences which counteract misapprehension or careless criticism of the divine Science which blesses all. Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, showing the need for demonstration and spiritual understanding, writes on page 355 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," "Without this understanding, no one is capable of impartial or correct criticism, because demonstration and spiritual understanding are God's immortal keynotes, proved to be such by our Master and evidenced by the sick who are cured and by the sinners who are reformed."
God, Love, the divine Principle of all real being, enforces the laws which maintain the harmony of His infinite, spiritual universe. The perfect, indissoluble relationship which exists between God and man is revealed by Christian Science to be that of the eternal unity of Principle and its idea. Thus, as divine idea, the real man reflects God, in all the spiritual attributes and power of God. The fundamental, divine reality of health, happiness, and progress is found in God, who is infinite Love, immortal Mind, omnipresent Spirit.
