I should like to express gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me.
Nine years ago I was healed of constipation, a difficulty under which I had labored from early childhood, and for which almost every known medical remedy had been tried in vain. After taking up the study of Christian Science I destroyed all the material remedies at hand, and asked for treatment from a practitioner.
During this time I found that I had to clear my own consciousness of the belief in a power apart from God, and to understand that God is the only power, and that therefore all action is harmonious. The result was a permanent healing. At the same time hemorrhoids, which had manifested themselves during my extremity, were completely healed.
