Christian Science has wrought many healings in our home, and impatience and criticism are gradually being replaced with patience, tolerance, and thoughtfulness.
My first introduction to Christian Science was through witnessing a neighbor's healing of mastoiditis and another's recovery from the effects of an automobile accident.
At that time our eldest boy was to have an operation for hernia, and another boy had scarlet fever. I reasoned that if Christian Science could heal our neighbors, it could help us also. I called on a practitioner, and when I arrived home from her house the boy. who had been in a sort of stupor for almost two weeks, called for food, and in the morning was absolutely free from every phase of the disease. I was so convinced that I had found a practical religion that I threw away every bit of medicine I owned. The operation for hernia never took place, and recently this boy was accepted by the United States Army, and classified as 1-A.
