For many years I have desired to give my testimony of the many healings we have had through the study of Christian Science. It is the greatest blessing that has come into our lives, and I want to share it with those who desire to know something about Truth and are in need of help.
Over a period of nearly thirty-two years Science has been our only means of healing, and has never failed to meet every discordant condition. This alone is proof enough for me that it is the truth. Broken bones, enlarged glands, rheumatism, various so-called children's diseases were quickly healed.
One of the first healings I experienced was of frozen heels. The feet were badly swollen, and for two weeks I had to wear bedroom slippers. I had been a student of Christian Science just one year when this occurred. Because of a sense of limitation in paying for treatments, I tried to do my own work, but did not meet with much success. After hobbling around for two weeks I decided to call a practitioner. When she arrived, she asked me to read something out of the Bible or Science and Health, which I did. In less than fifteen minutes I felt the swelling receding, and in half an hour she said, "Now go and put on your shoes, and I will go downtown with you." I put on the shoes I had not worn for two weeks and walked two miles that afternoon without the slightest discomfort or pain. By evening the swelling and blisters had entirely disappeared.
