I became a student of Christian Science when my husband was healed of a nervous breakdown fifteen years ago. For as long as I can remember I had been a victim of hay fever and had tried all medical remedies, including inoculations and diet, with only temporary relief. The hay fever was usually followed by an asthmatic condition and cough. My hope and prayer were that I could grow in the understanding that man is the reflection of God, with no lapses from that perfect expression of being at any time of the year.
Old habits of wrong thinking were not easily overcome, however, and seven years ago I became ill with pneumonia. With the loving help and patience of a practitioner and a Christian Science nurse, I recovered. I have not had hay fever, a cough, or a cold since then. The illumination of my thought at this time lifted me above and beyond material limitations into the sense of true existence in divine Mind.
I am grateful for my freedom and for many other healings in our family in the last fifteen years. I have had class instruction and enjoy membership in The Mother Church and also in a branch church.—Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
