I should like to express my gratitude for Christian Science. The person who introduced Science to my grandmother, when I was a small child, had no idea of the far-reaching influence it would have. This person was the only one in a small community in the Indian Territory in Oklahoma who knew about Christian Science. My grandmother had been advised by doctors that she must have an operation in order to regain her health. Upon hearing this, her friend told her that if she would read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy she could be healed. My grandmother gave up the doctors and medicine and was healed through the study of the textbook. She lived a very long and active life. The seed that was planted then has come down through four generations and is still bearing fruit.
Our son was healed through Christian Science treatment of a severe attack of appendicitis. Because we were not at home at the time of the attack, a physician was called. The symptoms were pronounced very alarming, and an immediate operation was advised, but was not performed, for through the operation of divine Love he was healed completely and instantaneously. A few days later the boy was examined by a physician for a position he wished to accept, and was pronounced whole in every way.
Through an increased understanding of Christian Science I have learned that true riches cannot be lost, stolen, squandered, or destroyed because they come from God and are therefore spiritual and eternal. Man's, true inheritance is all good, and there is no good except the good which God gives. This good is unlimited and impartial.
