I should like to express my gratitude for Christian Science and its innumerable blessings, such as joy, peace, harmony, happiness, health, supply, and an abundance of good.
About fifteen years ago this glorious truth was presented to me when I was suffering from an organic disorder, which had caused distress for about three years. Physicians said an operation would be necessary to restore normal functions, but this I could never bring myself to have. I was healed of the disorder shortly after I began to read our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. One day, when I was suffering excruciating pains from this trouble, a little Christian Science Sunday School pupil, in whose home I was visiting, offered to help me. She closed her eyes for a few moments and then repeated audibly the Lord's Prayer. I was healed instantly and permanently.
Another healing was experienced shortly after this, of a condition which was the aftereffect of an accident. I was healed of this in a week's time with the help of a practitioner. The drugs which I had been taking were thrown away after a few words from the practitioner, who stated that God is the only power.
