Loving gratitude to God and to Mrs. Eddy and a desire to help others as I have been helped, impel me to write of a healing of rheumatoid arthritis. The difficulty was so severe that I went to a Christian Science nursing home, and remained there for five months. I could not walk across the room, even with the help of a stick. For a time, two nurses had to lift me in bed. and I had visions of spending the rest of my days in a bath chair. During this time the pain in my feet was acute, and one foot became numb and remained so for a year. The whole condition lasted about eighteen months. I can now walk normally, and work hard all day long, as I take care of two of my grandchildren.
I am very grateful, too, for the great help I received from practitioners, who were very patient and understanding when I was in deep distress. I thank God for the experience, for up to that time I did not know what spiritual joy meant; but now I do, and I am happy to be able to work in His vineyard. For what knowledge I have of Christian Science I am deeply grateful, and my hope is that I may gain more spiritual understanding daily.— Dunblane, Perthshire, Scotland.
