Through the work of a Christian Science practitioner I was healed of the fear of becoming totally blind.
I was retouching for three photographic studios who were dependent on my assistance during their busiest season. I sought the aid of Science to help me keep my word to the business concerns. For three days it came to me to remove my glasses. The third day I consented to the "still small voice." I removed my glasses, and immediately I was able to see perfectly.
Two statements came to me at this time from the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, lines from the paragraph with the marginal heading, "Renewed selfhood" (p. 249) and these lines on page 91: "The Revelator tells us of 'a new heaven and a new earth.' Have you ever pictured this heaven and earth, inhabited by beings under the control of supreme wisdom?"
