It is a pleasure to acknowledge the great benefits which have come to me through Christian Science. It is about fifty years since I began to investigate it. My education had been in German. I was advised to get Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy and learn to read. I felt that was impossible. A practitioner gave me two pamphlets in German, which I studied. Later I told her I would get Science and Health and try to learn to read. In six months' time I was able to read, and was healed of what thirteen physicians had called an incurable disease. The spiritual uplift I received at that time has stayed with me through all these years. Since that time I have seen many proofs of God's power and presence for myself and others.
I also want to express my gratitude for the Benevolent Association Sanatorium. It seemed necessary for me to go to the Pacific coast for study and rest because of a problem that I had not been able to rise above. I was at the Sanatorium for about three months and received the desired help. I am sincerely grateful to everyone who gave me a helping hand.
Some time ago I fell downstairs. I felt that I could not rise. My left arm and other parts of the body were affected. I applied the truth as taught in Science and Health, and in a short time was able to do the work that needed to be done.
