It is now about twenty-five years since I read the Christian Science lecture which enlightened my darkened sense and convinced me that this Science was the answer to my long search for Truth. However, because so great salvation as Christian Science promises seemed much too good to be true, I was slow to accept it, and I challenged each statement as I read the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, for the first time. I obtained a number of copies of the Christian Science periodicals and read them in my spare moments one summer.
After observing several healings for myself and the children, as well as my greatly improved mental outlook, my husband also became interested in Science, and soon afterward we were privileged to attend the Christian Science church of which we soon became members.
Since then, the way has continued steadily upward, with constantly improving domestic and financial conditions. Our four children have had the benefit of the Christian Science Sunday School, and they are now all active members of a branch church and of The Mother Church. I can truly say that nothing that this world has to offer could begin to pay such dividends in peace, joy, health, and harmony as has rewarded our study of this Science.
