It is with the deepest sense of love and humility that I take this opportunity to express gratitude to my heavenly Father for the many blessings received through my understanding of the teachings of Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science.
I have had many beautiful healings through the ministrations of Christian Science. One healing was from the effects of a fall down concrete steps, when my foot was twisted under me. The pain was so terrible that I felt I was losing consciousness. A dear one who was with me realized the truth of Mrs. Eddy's statement that accidents are not known to God (see Science and Health, p. 424). After a few minutes I walked several blocks to my home. The next morning I drove a distance of fifty miles without any sense of pain, again proving the omnipotence of Truth.
Several years ago my daughter and I went to Europe. It was necessary to take quite a large sum of money, so I put most of my money in a small silk billfold and pinned it inside my dress. We took an all-day sightseeing trip to the Shakespeare country, and I returned to the hotel to find my billfold with money was missing. At first I was bewildered and panicky, but instantly I realized it was another opportunity to prove the power of God, so I did my work thoroughly and retired for the night. The next morning I felt it right to have the loss announced at breakfast to about fifty people. To my utter surprise a fellow traveler said she had seen the billfold in the muddy water several miles out near one of the castles, but thinking it a fancy postal card did not pick it up. We drove out to the place mentioned and there it was in the water intact just as I had pinned it to my dress. I was not only grateful to find the money but most grateful to prove that there is no loss in divine Mind.
