My first impressions of Christian Science...

From the September 1943 issue of The Christian Science Journal

My first impressions of Christian Science are drawn from experiences I had as a young girl when I was with my grandmother, who was an earnest student. At one time, her reading from the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, silenced fear which had been occasioned by my seeing an airplane accident.

Since that time I have been increasingly grateful for the blessings which have been bestowed upon me. Shortly after I began to study Christian Science regularly, my employment very harmoniously changed for the better. In this new work I had, and still have, many opportunities to express the truths learned in Christian Science.

I shall never cease to be grateful to my husband's loving mother, who was a consecrated student, and who helped to plant my feet firmly in the path of Christian Science. The joy of our warm friendship continues to be an inspiration to me.
