I should like to express my deep gratitude to God for Christian Science, and for Mary Baker Eddy, who expressed so much godliness that she became the revelator of the Christ, Truth, in this age, unselfishly sharing this revelation with the whole world.
"Man's extremity is God's opportunity." It was at a time of great extremity, when surgery and materia medica had failed me, that a loving friend invited me to a Christian Science Wednesday evening testimony meeting. I went and was then led to seek help from a practitioner. I had been confined to a bed much of the time and did not know what it meant to have an entirely free and happy day. I was completely healed of nervous exhaustion in that very first treatment, and I have had greater strength from that day than I had ever before known in my life.
Since my introduction to Christian Science many years ago it has been my earnest desire to be a devoted student of this great truth that makes men free, and step by step its healing power has been proved to me. Throughout the years I have had healings of sick headache, influenza, grief, and many false traits of character. Some of these healings have been demonstrated quickly, and others have taken a longer period of time, but I can honestly say I have been grateful that the slow healings have forced me to uproot the weeds of error held in consciousness.
