While I was reading a testimony of Christian Science healing in a Sentinel these words from the Bible stood out very clearly to me: "When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it." A dictionary defines "vow," in part, as "a solemn engagement to adopt a certain course of life, ... to observe some moral precept, etc.; also, a pledge of faithfulness."
Having been a student of this great truth and having received its blessings for over thirty years, I feel it is about time I paid my vow of gratitude to God. When Christian Science was presented to us my husband had been away on business. On the trip he had heard of this Science and when he returned he joyfully told his family about it. It seemed so logical and beautiful that I accepted it right away.
About three months later a daughter was born to us. I felt no pain or discomfort whatever throughout this experience.
