Twelve years of constant adherence to Christian Science have brought many proofs of the truth that sets men free from bondage to material sense. Truth has healed me of many ills, such as pleurisy, colds, influenza, resentment, and ear trouble. Business affairs have been adjusted, and financial troubles have been solved; yet the greatest healing of all is that of fear.
On page 411 of the textbook, Science and Health, Mrs. Eddy says, "The procuring cause and foundation of all sickness is fear, ignorance, or sin." Before Truth touched me, I was afraid for the past, present, and future, so that I held my husband and little one in those clutching bands of fear. In consequence, all the things I feared fell upon me. Step by step, with the loving help of a practitioner, the study and application of the truth have gradually lifted me up into the glorious understanding of God as Love.
Shortly after an instantaneous healing of our little daughter of quinsy, my husband and I became active members of a branch church. My gratitude knows no bounds for the wonderful unfoldment of those years of working in the Master's vineyard. God has blessed me with the privilege of serving in the same branch church, which led to God's great gift of class instruction.
