Mrs. Eddy tells us in Science and Health (p. 167), "Only through radical reliance on Truth can scientific healing power be realized." I am grateful for this statement of truth because I was compelled to prove it some time ago, when I was overcome by a serious physical condition causing me much pain and weakness. There was considerable opposition from my employers, who thought I should have special medical attention. But through the faithful and persistent work of a Christian Science practitioner, and the co-operation of those in the home, I was able to take my stand firmly for Christian Science. There was marked improvement from day to day, and every obstacle that presented itself was overcome. I was greatly comforted and uplifted by the hymns from the Christian Science Hymnal, particularly No. 74:
Go forth and stand upon the mount,
For Truth is at thy side.
I was soon able to return to the office in time to do certain work that was required of me at the end of our fiscal year.
