The testimonies in the Christian Science periodicals have been so helpful to me over a period of fifteen years that I feel urged to add mine as a proof that the truth, even when understood only in a small degree, does heal.

Being filled with the teachings of an orthodox religion, I made slow progress. But Truth, the one power, first removed me into a more pleasant climate, then gave me a companion in my mental loneliness— a brother, who had at first scoffed at Christian Science. When he became convinced that I had found something priceless, he then turned to Christian Science. He noticed that I had a God of love, who does not punish, and he needed this very God.

Through my own earnest work I was completely freed from it, and it has never returned.
