My heart is full of gratitude for Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science. I am deeply grateful for the physical healings I have had in Science, but especially for the spiritual understanding that man is made in the image and likeness of God and that the real man is sinless. This understanding has healed me of a bad temper and self-pity. Christian Science healed me of heart trouble of which I was terribly afraid, as my mother suffered from it and I thought I had inherited it.
Through Christian Science alone, my family has experienced instantaneous healings of broken bones, a fractured skull, and appendicitis. Also, one member was restored from a state of disappointment and sadness to one of happiness. Fear of the dark and of being alone has been healed through the realization of the great truth that God is ever present.
I have had many healings through the daily study of the Lesson-Sermons. Through Science I was healed of insomnia, from which I suffered for many years. Lack has also been healed. Words cannot express my gratitude for the practitioner who helped me along my journey, strengthening my faith and confidence in the healing power of God. I am most grateful for the privilege of teaching in the Christian Science Sunday School. This experience has taught me to understand the Ten Commandments and to try to follow in my daily life the rules set forth in the Bible.
