That Christian Science can meet every human need, I have amply proved in my own personal experience.
I suddenly found myself alone in the world with two little children to rear, having lost four members of my immediate family in less than five years, the last of the four being the father of the two children. I was stunned by these losses. Life seemed to me to be a wide desert which I must cross with the children.
At this time I remembered a cousin of mine to whom all the family turned in time of trouble, because she always seemed able to accomplish the impossible. I recalled that she was a student of Christian Science and had been studying Mrs. Eddy's teachings for many years. I called her on the telephone and said to her, "Can your religion do anything for me now?" And the gentle, loving voice came back over the phone: "Yes, it can do everything. It can heal, direct, and protect under any and all circumstances, if you will turn to it and trust it."
