I am so grateful that in Christian Science...

From the August 1946 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I am so grateful that in Christian Science I have found the Comforter as promised by the Master, and that I have had the privilege of class instruction, which during the years has been a great support to me.

For a time I lived on a farm, and was isolated from Christian Science activities, but I had my literature and the blessed Lesson-Sermon. I have proved that reading the Lesson first in the morning paves the way for a harmonious day. Studying the Lesson was not easy; first, it was a matter of time; secondly, the telephone; and finally, I fell asleep. To break the last-mentioned mesmerism I walked the floor, and since that experience I have never become drowsy at a Christian Science service or lecture.

I was considered a delicate child, but in my teens found healing through Christian Science after exhausting the services of physicians.
