Many students of Christian Science,...

From the August 1946 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Many students of Christian Science, having proved in a degree the power of Truth over error, throughout some years of study and work, are prone to accept demonstrations and healings as a matter of course, and let it rest there. We are admonished, however, to share our mental treasures with those in need of help and encouragement. In our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, we read (p. 79): "Mind-science teaches that mortals need 'not be weary in well doing.' It dissipates fatigue in doing good. Giving does not impoverish us in the service of our Maker, neither does withholding enrich us."

The benefits I have received through Christian Science have been many. Over two years ago I was healed of a severe case of nervous exhaustion in about two months' time, with the help of a practitioner. I had to learn and know that being and strength are inexhaustible and irrepressible, that they always have been and will remain so; therefore, that that which claims otherwise is a false belief of mortal mind, which must be replaced with the right concept of action, as proceeding from Life, God. .

I have had proofs of Mind's direction in finding lost articles and in being guided wisely in making decisions, and have had convincing evidence of Truth's ability to restore harmony in a healing of chronic indigestion and in numerous other cases.
