Christian Science came into my life when I was quite a young girl, and for this great blessing I shall never cease to be grateful.
My mother turned to Science for physical healing when confined to her bed with inflammatory rheumatism. She had spent six months in bed the previous winter with the same trouble, and had tried many material remedies with only temporary relief, if any. With the help of a Christian Science practitioner the healing came gradually, but it was complete and left her entirely free from any of the aftereffects frequently attributed to this disease.
As a family we have had many blessings through the study and application of Christian Science. It brought into the home a healing atmosphere which benefited all members of the family. This was particularly noticeable in my father's experience. Although not a student of Science, he was very receptive to it and received protection and healing. I should like to share one of our experiences.
