Having been helped so often by the testimonies in our periodicals, I tell of this experience in the hope that it may help others.
At one time I was having two teeth extracted. I experienced no difficulty at first, but in a couple of days the pain became so severe I returned to the dentist to see if he could discover the difficulty, but without any success. As the year went by, this trouble affected the whole side of my face, and interested friends, who were not Christian Scientists, induced me to go to see their dentist. I went, and after many examinations the trouble was pronounced tic douloureux. When error was given a name, it seemed to become more aggressive. Suffice it to say, I became very nervous and lost weight.
About this time I was obliged to move. The thought was prevalent that there were no vacancies. Storing my furniture temporarily, I spent a few weeks visiting friends. The thought came to me that I needed rest and study. I had once visited a rest home run by Christian Scientists, and I made application there and was accepted. I shall ever be grateful for this home, and to those working for and in it, who with love and tender care maintain a haven of rest and healing.
