I have known of Christian Science since I was a small boy and have seen many proofs of the healing power of this present-day teaching of the eternal Christ. It fills our every need when understood and put into practice, not just when we have a specific problem, but daily as we go about our duties.
My first healing, accomplished through my own efforts, was of nervousness. This came about by my taking my mother's counsel to read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy regularly every day. In a short time the healing came, and it has been permanent.
I want to express deep gratitude for the comfort, strength, and spiritual inspiration which came to me through the help of a practitioner at the time of the passing on of my mother, and since. I should like to share some of the truths which have sustained me. The statement from Science and Health (p. 302), "It is impossible that man should lose aught that is real, when God is all and eternally his," has been a daily companion. I have applied it like this: It is impossible that I should lose any companionship, friendship, peace, joy, happiness, freedom, health, strength, spiritual inspiration, understanding, and vision, "when God is all and eternally" mine.
