Mrs. Eddy states on page 243 of the textbook, Science and Health, "The divine Love, which made harmless the poisonous viper, which delivered men from the boiling oil, from the fiery furnace, from the jaws of the lion, can heal the sick in every age and triumph over sin and death." In witness to the truth of this statement I lovingly give this testimony.
When I was a little girl our family physician advised my father to take up the study of Christian Science. My father had exhausted all the various medical treatments his doctors had prescribed in the effort to overcome a severe physical and nervous collapse. We procured a copy of the textbook and began the earnest study of this glorious Science. After a few weeks a practitioner was called, and my father had an instantaneous healing. That occurred in 1931, and the healing has been complete and permanent.
I remember my years in the Christian Science Sunday School with joyous gratitude. The simple truths I learned there have been a bulwark of inspiration and strength in the daily work of letting that Mind be in me "which was also in Christ Jesus" (Phil. 2:5).
