It is with a heart full of gratitude that I tell of a healing of erysipelas after four days' treatment by a practitioner. The healing came over ten years ago through radical reliance on the Christ, Truth, given to the world by Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, and revealed to this age in Christian Science by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy.
This painful condition appeared on my face during the night, and on my way to a committee meeting at our branch church I called on a practitioner and asked for help. This was readily given, but for two days conditions became worse. My husband is not at all interested in Christian Science and was most fearful, so much so that he asked a doctor to call and see me; but when he saw that this distressed me very much, he lovingly canceled the doctor's appointment and took a letter to the practitioner instead.
I had experienced some beautiful healings through Christian Science and knew that this condition would be healed in the same way that others had been healed, so I remained fearless. Throughout these days I found myself singing these lines from Hymn No. 350 in the Christian Science Hymnal:
