Remember how they boarded ship that day,
The Master and the twelve, and as they sailed,
He fell asleep—and how great winds arose
And raging waves from every side prevailed?
They cried out in their fear till he awoke
And calmed the tempest. "Peace, be still," he said,
Affirming Mind's omnipotent control,
Through which the sick were healed, the thousands fed.
Let us not grow so frail in faith, when faced
By waves of evil, winds of human will.
But rouse our consciousness at once to Truth
And hear the clear, divine decree, "Be still."
For error's seeming awful storm will cease
When thought, awakened to reality,
Perceives the spiritual universe
Where God maintains His own in harmony.
